Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Local storage and session storage do the same job in a different place. The UK rules (PECR) treat them all alike, and so does this policy. NAVIZIX itself sets no cookies: everything listed here is local or session storage, apart from security cookies our hosting provider may set.

Strictly necessary storage and preferences you set need no consent. Analytics and marketing attribution are optional: they do not run, and store nothing, until you accept them in the cookie banner.

Analytics

Counts which pages are visited so we can see what is used and what is not. Each page view sends the page address, the page you came from, the two IDs below and your approximate country to NAVIZIX's own database. If you are signed in, the visit is linked to your account. We use no third-party analytics.

Marketing attribution

Remembers which advert, campaign or referral link brought you to NAVIZIX, so we can see which campaigns work. If you create an account, this is saved with your profile. Nothing is shared with advertising networks.

What we do not use

No Google Analytics, no Meta, LinkedIn or other advertising pixels, no session recording and no cross-site tracking.

Content from other services

Some typefaces load from Google Fonts, and some pages show images or logos served by other sites (for example stock photos and the company logos on the Integrations page). Your browser fetches these directly, so those providers receive your IP address. We do not use them to track you.

One page inside the app can open an embedded YouTube video. YouTube may set its own cookies when you play it; Google's policy applies to those.

Browser controls

You can delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings at any time. Deleting strictly necessary storage signs you out. The ICO explains cookies at ico.org.uk.
